Reasons to use a Recruitment Agency for your recruitment

3 simple reasons why you should use a recruitment Agency for your recruitment

In the UK at the moment many people are struggling to find that perfect job role. Many people use different methods to achieve their goal of getting that dream position including using recruitment agencies. Many people use recruitment agencies to help them get selected for the best roles within their chosen skill set. Also, many employers and businesses are turning to recruitment as a means of finding new employees and there are many reasons for this.

Good Candidates

Good solid candidates are really hard to find. Most employees who have a great skill set to match your position may be currently in a position elsewhere and not potentially looking for a new position unless something changes within their current role and they look to leave. Recruitment agencies have lots of ties to the employee market and able to head hunt or find the cream of the crop of candidates.

Filter unsuitable candidates

Again recruitment agencies are great at filtering out some of the employees who are not suitable for the position available. Ideally, you do not want to waste your time filtering through tens if not hundreds of CV’s to handpick the candidates you wish to contact. As this takes the time it effectively costs you money to complete this search. With a recruitment agency, you will find they have huge potential to spot candidates who do not fit the bill. They will also have a good chat normally by a call with any potential person prior to handing any CV over to yourself for a full formal interview.

By the stage of a formal interview, you will normally have a very good idea that the people put forward by a recruiter are of good stead and match what you are looking for.

Recruitment agencies have their eye on the market

Recruitment agencies live the world of candidates and the job market. Any good recruitment agency will have staff continually looking for great potential candidates as well as having an ear on the ground for any future changes in your current industry.

Recruiters can take note of any potential salary increases that you may need to adapt to find the ideal candidate. These agencies will partner with your business to ensure the staff member is an asset to your team.

Overall using a recruiter or recruitment agency is a valuable option. This can save you time and money in investing in staff whilst you are growing as a business.

Construction Jobs: The Prospects and Challenges

Construction Jobs: The Prospects and Challenges

So what are the Prospects and Challenges that are faced along with Construction Jobs?

Construction jobs always has and always will provide many prospects and challenges in terms of recruitment for the economy. Recruitment levels are quite high in construction, however, finding the right people for the job can also prove to be difficult if they don’t have the relevant experience.

Say a new housing estate is due to be built on an underdeveloped piece of land such as an old farm, there are many recruitment prospects such as planning, infrastructure and construction of houses. The planning will require much labour as everything will need to be perfect to comply with laws such as health and safety and the infrastructure will require a lot of people to be recruited so that new roads leading from other roads can be built. This could perhaps even extend further to other industries such as a train station being installed nearby. Recruitment would be vital for a new housing estate so that the construction company can meet their customers by providing a great quality home whilst making ease of access a priority for them.

The challenges to recruitment in a new housing estate development can be vast. If the houses are not selling, construction can simply come to a halt and the workers can be let go or moved to a different site which may be further for them to travel. The inconvenience of never having a set place to work can be strenuous on a builder, therefore, the recruitment process would have to ensure that they are prepared to travel around to the needs of the business. This would ensure that the company don’t hire any workers that aren’t prepared to meet the needs of the business, therefore, improving the prospects of recruitment as a whole.

Another challenge to construction recruitment is productivity levels. If the workforce isn’t motivated and delegated properly by their line manager’s productivity can be lowered meaning the building takes longer, therefore, costing more in total. To combat this challenge at the recruitment stage, the workforce must be carefully selected by the building company to ensure that they are only recruiting people willing to work for them so that productivity can be addressed at the grass-root level! Increased productivity is a great prospect for any construction company as the companies who can build the fastest, normally get the best contracts and also the best recruitment!

Benefits of having the right work to Life balance

Benefits of having the right work to Life balance

Having the right Work to Life Balance is important, working long forty hour plus weeks every week can take a toll on anyone’s life. They can begin to feel trapped within their workplace and feel like they never really leave to enjoy their lives, which everyone should be able to do freely. I strongly believe that we should only work to be able to fund the finer things in life. If you’re not enjoying life then you clearly need a change, and if that change is your job, then so be it!

Finding the correct Work to Life Balance can be hard! If you have a high pressured job that requires a lot of your time then how are you going to fit going to the gym in, with seeing friends, with spending time with your family and even eating! It seems that a lot of people have a working breakfast, lunch and even sometimes dinner! Everyone is constantly on the go and sometimes we just need to stop and take a step back!

Now I’m not saying quit your job, as ultimately everyone needs money to survive. However, if you are not getting the correct balance in and it is draining your soul out of you, then why not try and drop some hours? This would free up some time for other things like going to the cinemas or eating out. Maybe you have young children that go to school/nursery and you have to pay someone to look after them? Why not drop some hours and spend time with your kids instead, you would be missing out on income but also saving money on childcare and spending valuable time with your little ones in the process!

The benefits of having the right Work to Life Balance are that your mood will be improved which can only mean you will be more productive in your life! You will also improve your mental state by not being so tired all the time and get the correct nutrients into your diet! If you’re not in the correct frame of mind, then should you be working all of these hours? Sometimes you just have to ask yourself these questions to evaluate if your balance is good or bad, and make a decision from there!
